2024 Fall Songwriter Getaway

FALL SONGWRITER GETAWAY RETREAT
November 8-10, 2024 :: PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ONTARIO, CANADA

Take a break from daily at the 10th Annual Fall Songwriter Getaway! Songwriters will participate in songwriting workshops during the day and song circles each night, surrounded by the beauty of the changing seasons.

Bordering the Macaulay Mountain Conservation Area, our five-acre property features hammocks, fire pits, an outdoor wood-burning cedar sauna that songwriters are welcome to use, and a large, well-spaced, and extremely comfortable home property. It’s the perfect place to find new songwriting inspiration!

Our guests are a great mix of returning songwriters and first-timers, all of whom enjoy the friendly and supportive environment. We welcome songwriters of all levels, from total beginners to seasoned pros. You’ll head home with new insights on your songwriting process, professional feedback on your original songs, and a new connection to an encouraging songwriter community.

Our Ontario songwriter getaways always sell out, so be sure to register early to make sure you can join us for this inspiring weekend. We offer a mix of a single rooms and shared rooms in the house. Once the bedrooms sell out, you can still attend by purchasing a “day pass” which allows songwriters to join in on all the workshops, meals, and activities, but does not include lodging. For those purchasing a day pass who live too far away to drive in every day, there are suggested hotel options below.

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY SONGWRITER GETAWAY?

  • Small group songwriting workshops
  • One-on-one feedback from Murray Foster, a Juno-nominated songwriter and musician with two platinum and five gold records.
  • A workshop and the opportunity for feedback from a special guest musician.
  • Evening song circles and singalongs
  • Quiet time to write and find new inspiration
  • All meals from dinner on Friday to breakfast on Sunday
  • Lodging for those who register to stay at the Getaway House and recommendations for local hotels for those who select the Day Pass option.
  • If you stay on site, bedding and towels will be provided.
